State Senate Fails to Pass Environmental Justice Priority Bill

California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters) released the following statement in response to the Senate’s failure to pass Senator Lena Gonzalez’s Senate Bill 342, which would have added two environmental justice seats to the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s board – people who reside in and work directly with communities most burdened by and vulnerable to pollution.

SB 260, the Climate Corporate Accountability Act, Passes State Senate

California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters) released the following statement in response to the Senate’s passage of Senate Bill 260, the Climate Corporate Accountability Act. The bill would require big corporations conducting business in California with over $1 billion in revenue to disclose their total carbon emissions in a way that is publicly available and understandable.
